Question 1 of 4 0%

What is a CIBIL score?

Your CIBIL score is a 3-digit number between 300 and 900 that summarizes your credit history. Lenders use it to judge how likely you are to repay a home loan. A score of 750 or above qualifies you for the lowest interest rates; 700–749 is good; 650–699 is fair and may carry a slightly higher rate; below 650 usually needs improvement before applying.

What affects your score?

Payment history is the biggest factor — even one missed EMI can drop your score. Credit utilization (how much of your limits you use), length of credit history, and the mix of secured vs unsecured loans also matter. Checking your own score never reduces it.
